Schedule:
Full‑time (1 FTE, 40 hours per week) in a shift‑based operational environment

We are Baltic Assist – a company committed to providing high‑value talent solutions and operational excellence for global clients. Together with our client, a global aviation services provider offering premium airport lounge services, we are supporting the opening of a new Aspire Lounge at Vilnius Airport.

We are looking for a Kitchen Lead / Kitchen Supervisor to take ownership of kitchen operations in the lounge, support the opening and stabilisation phase, and ensure consistently high food quality, safety, and service standards in a regulated airport environment.

About the role

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining daily kitchen operations with planning and coordination responsibilities. You will lead the kitchen team, contribute directly to food preparation, and help shape buffet‑style menus suitable for a premium airport lounge.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Leading and supporting daily kitchen operations within the lounge
  • Planning and developing menus suitable for lounge and buffet‑style service
  • Ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency at all times
  • Actively participating in food preparation and service when required
  • Coordinating and leading kitchen staff (cooks and kitchen porters) during shifts
  • Overseeing food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance across all kitchen areas
  • Supporting the pre‑opening, opening, and stabilisation phase of the lounge
  • Managing stock levels, kitchen supplies, and coordinating replenishment
  • Ensuring correct use of equipment, PPE, and safe working practices
  • Addressing food‑related guest questions in an open‑kitchen environment
  • Documenting incidents, hygiene issues, or operational irregularities as required
  • Collaborating closely with the Lounge Manager and Supervisors to align service flow

You’ll be successful if you have

  • Proven experience in kitchen leadership or supervisory roles, ideally in hospitality or catering environments
  • Strong hands‑on cooking experience combined with team coordination responsibilities
  • Experience with buffet‑style or high‑volume food service operations
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements
  • Good English skills, required to communicate with guests in an open‑kitchen environment and coordinate internally
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, especially during busy service periods
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced, regulated environment
  • Willingness to work shift‑based schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional requirements

  • Aviation security background check - required to obtain airport access. If you don’t already have clearance, you will complete this during the recruitment process
  • Valid or obtainable H10 food‑safety certification

What we offer

  • A key leadership role in a newly opening, premium airport lounge
  • Direct involvement in shaping kitchen operations and menus from the start
  • A stable, full‑time position in an international aviation environment
  • Exposure to global hospitality and aviation standards
  • A collaborative team culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
