About the role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a support role in the kitchen by ensuring all equipment, dishes, and work areas are clean and ready for use. This is a hands‑on, operational position that supports cooks and kitchen supervisors during busy service periods.

  • Ensuring waste is handled and disposed of according to procedures
  • Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times

  • Reporting any hygiene issues, equipment faults, or safety concerns immediately
  • Supporting smooth kitchen operations during peak service times
  • Working closely with cooks and the Kitchen Lead to maintain operational flow

You’ll be successful if you have

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, cleaning, or similar operational environment (preferred but not required)
  • A reliable, hands‑on approach and willingness to support the team
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment
  • Attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety procedures
  • Basic English skills (sufficient to understand instructions and communicate with the team)
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional requirements

  • H10 food‑safety certificate preferred or required depending on assigned duties; candidates without it may be asked to obtain the certificate as part of onboarding
  • Aviation security background check - required to obtain airport access. If you don’t already have clearance, you will complete this during the recruitment process.

What we offer

  • A stable role in an international airport lounge environment
  • A supportive team focused on cooperation and clear processes
  • Training and onboarding in line with global aviation and hospitality standards
  • A workplace culture that values safety, reliability, and teamwork
