Senior Data Architect

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania or Copenhagen, Denmark (hybrid).

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours/week) 

6/12 month contract with a high possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing 

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic team with one of the biggest players in finance in the country. Be a part of the new data strategy in our client's company by becoming their new solution architect. Our client company, a member of the banking group, specialises in providing pension and health insurance services. 

As part of our client's strategic initiative, they are making significant investments in their data infrastructure. Last year, they established a Data Products squad, deployed the first data pipelines and supporting infrastructure on AWS, and are now ready to onboard Databricks. Our client company currently has a team of architects. 

You will shape the data architecture for one of Denmark’s largest pension and health insurance companies.

How you'll spend your day 

• Designing solutions to meet business needs and connecting technical and business domains. 
• Aligning data architecture with IT strategy and target architecture. 
• Enhancing platform capabilities for data engineers, data scientists, and actuaries. 
• Developing and executing an actionable strategy for onboarding to Databricks, aligned with the data strategy. 
• Collaborating with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and product owners. 
• Guiding squads on data systems design to ensure strategic flexibility. 
• Driving governance, knowledge sharing, and workshops for alignment and execution.

You'll be successful if you have 

• Experience with data modelling (5+ years).
• Proven experience with Cloud Data Platforms.
• Capability to define and implement a comprehensive data strategy.
• Ability to communicate architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
